Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government issued guidelines on Sunday to make the campuses free of ragging and bullying as the schools are set to reopen for Class XI students in the state on October 21.
In a letter to the principals of higher secondary schools, the School and Mass Education department directed them to form internal squads for maintaining discipline in campuses during classes.
“Hostels should be given special attention to avoid ragging and maintain hygiene and sanitation,” department secretary Satyabrata Sahu ordered.
The department has asked the school managements to ensure strict adherence to the standard operating procedure (SOP) to keep COVID transmission in check in the educational institutions. With the option of online learning open, the government asked the schools to share details of live streaming of classes on YouTube, reported The New Indian Express.
According to Sahu, the YouTube live streaming for Class XI Arts, Science and Commerce students will be held from Monday to Friday as per the norms of Directorate of Higher Secondary Schools.
