Bhubaneswar: State School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash has said that his department has initiated measures to identify teachers appointed on the basis of fake certificates and warned strict action against them.
Principal Secretary (School and Mass Education) Satyabrata Sahu has written to DEOs, BEOs and education authorities in all districts to identify such teachers and initiate action.
The state government warned that any teacher found to have furnished fake certificates to get the job will face strict action. FIRs will be lodged against such teachers, who will be dismissed from service and face disciplinary action.
The board or university named in the fake certificate will be contacted for verification.
Officials in charge of scrutinizing the educational qualifications of teachers will also face action if found negligent.
