Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government on Wednesday relaunched the regularisation of unauthorised construction scheme, reducing rates across the board for greater acceptance and benefit of the public.
The amnesty scheme will be applicable in major urban centres, including Bhubaneswar, and applicable to only such unauthorised constructions that are structurally safe.
The provisions relating to set back (the minimum distance which a building or other structure must be set back), parking and compounding charges both for non-high rise and high rise buildings have been relaxed, said a notification issued by the State Government.
The provisions will be in force for six months.
1. For deviation in setbacks in municipal corporation area, the compounding charges will be Rs 250 (up to the maximum floor area ratio) and Rs 500 (beyond the maximum floor ratio area) for residential properties.
As per the 2018 regulation, the compounding charges was 1.4 times more than the existing rate.
2. Likewise, the compounding charges for establishments towards parking deficit per square metre will remain Rs 10,000 for both residential and non-residential buildings in municipal corporations. The compounding charges for non-residential buildings as per the 2018 regulation was 17,500.
