Bhubaneswar: Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo on Friday said that all examinations will be rescheduled and decision to conduct exams will be taken after reviewing the situation after the COVID-19 lockdown period ends.
According to sources in School and Mass Education Department, Class I to Class IX students are likely to be promoted without exams. Priority will be given to evaluation of Matric exam answer sheets and declaration of the results once normalcy returns.
The Odisha Government is also planning to reopen schools, which were closed on March 13, in the state on June 17.
The schools were earlier closed till March 31 and the shut-down extended further till April 14 after Prime Minister announced 21-day nationwide lockdown on Tuesday.
The decision was taken keeping in view the summer vacation which begins in May, the sources added.
