Odisha Govt Restructures Multipurpose Health Worker (Female) Service Cadre

Bhubaneswar: As part of its programme on transformation of hospitals to ensure efficient and smooth management of healthcare facilities, Odisha government has restructures Odisha Multipurpose Health Worker (Female) Service Cadre of Health and Family Welfare department.

According to a press release of the department on Saturday, 4,458 posts of Multipurpose Health Worker (Female) of the existing 12,738 posts at Pay Lavel-5 under ORSP Rules, 2017, have been abolished. Equal number of posts in the new promotional hierarchy of MPHW(F), L-I at Pay Level-9 under ORSP Rules, 2017, have been created in their place. Now, total 8,280 posts at the base level will be re-designated as MPHW(F), L-II at Pay Level-5.

The existing 1228 posts of MPHW(F) at Pay Level-9 will be upgraded to next higher scale of Pay Level-10 and the existing MPHW(F) posts will be re-designated as MPHW(F), L-II.

Besides, 1,319 posts of MPHW(F), L-II, have been created thereby taking the total to 2547 posts of MPHW(F), L-II at the 3rd level of the restructured cadre hierarchy/promotional hierarchy.

The existing MPHS(F)s at Pay Level-9 and getting basic pay of less than or equal to Rs 44,900 will get the initial basic pay as in Cell-1 of Level-10 after their upgradation to MPHS(F), L-II at Pay Level-10.

The existing MPHS(F) at Pay Level-9 and getting basic pay of more than Rs 44,900 will be placed at the corresponding pay level in Level-10 without any fixation of pay/increment.

Further, 545 posts of MPHS(F), L-I at Pay Level-11 at the 4th level of the restructured cadre hierarchy/promotional hierarchy and one post of Assistant Director at Pay Level-12 at 5th level of the restructured cadre have been created.

After restructuring, the total strength will be 15,831. Necessary changes in Odisha Multipurpose Health Worker (Female) Service Cadre Rules, 2019 will be made by the department in due course, the release stated.
