Bhubaneswar: In a minor reshuffle on Friday, the Odisha government transferred five IPS officers and appointed them in new posts.
According to a notification issued by the Home department on the day, Shefeen Ahmed K, Inspector General of Police (IGP) at Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC) of Odisha police, has been transferred and posted as the IGP of CID, Crime Branch.
Sarthak Sarangi, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police at Odisha Police headquarters, has been posted as the DIG, Fire Services and Home Guard.
Similarly, Satyajit Nayak, presently serving as DIG police, computer, has been transferred and posted as DIG police, HRPC.
Cuttack SP Jugal Kishore Kumar Banoth has been transferred to police headquarters as AIG. He is replaced by Mihir Kumar Panda (OPS), DCP, Special Crime Unit at Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police, as Cuttack SP.
Rahul Jain, who is now working as SP, police headquarters, has been shifted and posted as Nayagarh SP.
