Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will hold the final semester exams for under graduate (UG) and post-graduate (PG) students this year.
This was decided at a meeting of the vice-chancellors of state-run universities on Saturday, Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo informed the media.
.The minister said online classes of UG and PG final semester students are underway as a COVID-19 lockdown was clamped in Odisha on May 5.
“Taking this into consideration, the vice-chancellors have requested to give some time to have a meeting with the principals of all degree colleges and some students of urban and rural areas in this regard. On the basis of the opinion of the principals and students, a final decision will be taken at the next meeting on June 18,” Sahoo said.
The minister also said the mode of the exams will be decided at the June 18 meeting.
