Odisha Govt To Take Up Transformation Of 56 Colleges & Schools With Rs 26.75 Cr In Bargarh

Bargarh: The Odisha government would take up transformation of educational institutions at a cost of Rs 26.75 crore in Bargarh district.

This was stated by secretary (5T) to chief minister VK Pandian during an interaction with college students and staff from various educational institutions in Bargarh on Monday. He announced the approval of the Chief Minister to take up 56 colleges and higher secondary schools in the district under 5T transformation with the fund.

On first day of his 2-day visit to the district, Pandian went to the under construction Cancer Hospital in Bhatli block and reviewed its progress. He directed the district administration to complete the works by December. He also visited district headquarters hospital at Bargarh and interacted with patients and reviewed the progress of ongoing works under AMA Hospital initiative.

He visited Saranda 5T High School in Attabira block and interacted with students and teachers present there regarding 5T initiative. He encouraged the students to keep working to fulfil their goals and aspirations.

Pandian also visited Bisweswara Temple and Maa Durga Temple in Attabira block and Ramchandi Temple and Vaishnodevi Temple in Bargarh. He discussed with temple committee members regarding preparation of DPR for development and facilities for the pilgrims in the shrines.

He visited Mission Shakti Café in Bargarh and interacted with the Mission Shakti members operating it. He also reviewed the progress of Indoor Stadium at Barpali and paid homage at the birth place of Gangadhar Meher in the town.

Secretary, Sports & Youth Services, R Vineel Krishna; Bargarh collector Monisha Banerjee; Bargarh SP Prahlad Sahai Meena and district level officials accompanied Pandian during the visit.
