Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday warned of action against the foreign returnees who are not responding to the 104 government helpline number.
“The foreign returnees should cooperate and take calls on their registered numbers from the 104/State Call Centre. Keeping phones in switched off mode or non-acknowledgement of calls will be viewed as jumping home quarantine and liable to be prosecuted as per penal provisions,” the Health and Family Welfare Department said in a tweet.
The department decided to initiate legal action after several foreign returnees were found not responding to the calls made by the State Call Centre in gross violation of the rules.
