Hyderabad: A 19-year-old youth from Hyderabad has been arrested for allegedly making hoax calls to the police on Wednesday, claiming that bombs were planted on two Mumbai-bound trains.
The youth was identified as Thorri Karthik (19), a resident of Gandhi Maisamma Colony in Bahadurpally, Hyderabad. He was arrested by a joint team of the Crime Investigation Branch (CIB), Railway Protection Force (RPF), Special Investigation Branch (SIB) and Government Railway Police (GRP).
Police had received two calls, claiming that bombs had been planted on the Visakhapatnam-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express and Bhubaneswar-Mumbai Konark Express.
The Visakhapatnam-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express was stopped at Kazipet in Warangal and thoroughly searched. No explosives were found.
