Bhubaneswar: Under attack from several quarters, the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) authorities on Thursday extended the date for candidates who participated in MBBS/BDS counselling to report at allotted colleges in view of severe cyclonic storm ‘Dana’, set to hit the state’s coast by Friday morning.

In view of the cyclone “DANA”, it has been decided to allow reporting of admitted MBBS/BDS candidates in their allotted colleges till 30-10-2024, the OJEE authorities said in a fresh notification.

Earlier, the OJEE had asked candidates who had participated in MBBS/BDS counselling up to 3rd round to report physically to their final allotted colleges between October 24 and 26.

“Similarly, candidates freshly allotted in the upgradation round have to report at OJEE Cell Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar on 28-10-2024 (During 10AM to 4PM) mandatorily, else the allotment will be cancelled and the vacant seat will be considered for the stray vacancy round counselling,” said the fresh OJEE notification.

The dates for Stray Vacancy round counselling will be notified in due course of time, it said.

“All Dean and Principals of all concerned Colleges are requested to make proper arrangements accordingly for physical reporting to complete other formalities of admission process for the candidates allotted to their Colleges/ Institutes,” it said.
