Keonjhar: Nearly three weeks after the death of woman doctor Subhashree Kar, her father has lodged a police complaint against her ex-boyfriend Dibyaranjan Majhi, his relatives and three co-workers at Joda police in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.
According to sources, Subhashree’s father Manoranjan Kar and family members have named Majhi, some of his relatives and three other co-workers in the complaint and sought a thorough probe to ascertain if they had any role in her death.
Her father claimed that someone was suspected to have spiked the drink of the lady doctor and causing her death.
While Majhi’s comments on the allegations were not available immediately, he was reported to have moved the Orissa high Court seeking closure of the case against him. He has reportedly appealed in the court to close the case and allow him to get bail.
It is pertinent to note here that Subhashree was found dead in her rented house at Baneikala in Joda area on January 1 after celebrating the zero night with her colleagues till late hours. The 25-year-old lady doctor was working as a medical officer at the Urban PHC.
Barely ten days before her death, she had lodged a complaint on December 20 against her ex-boyfriend Dibyaranjan Majhi accusing him of betraying her. She alleged that Majhi kept physical relationship with her on the pretext of marriage, but later refused.
Subhashree’s postmortem and viscera reports had reportedly indicated that the cause of her death was due to poisonous reaction.
