Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, rejected the allegation of mathematics question paper leak even as Class X students appeared for the examination on Monday.
The students entered the exam hall at 7:30 am.
According to sources, Mathematics question paper of the High School Certificate Examination went viral on social media at many places in Keonjhar district.
This came two days after alleged leak of English question paper in Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts. “Twenty-four hours passed since the English examination was held but we have not received any complaint about the question paper leak. Some are trying to mislead people and us,” BSE Vice President Nihar Ranjan Mohanty had then told reporters in Cuttack.
Notably, AI-powered CCTV cameras have been installed in and around 600 sensitive and hyper-sensitive examination and a few nodal centres to check malpractice and question paper leak.
Sources said more than 40 cases of malpractice were caught from several exam centres across the state by the AI camera. And the BSE has directed the District Education Officers (DEO) to take disciplinary action against the invigilators and centre superintendents found to be erring in conducting the exams.
It has, however, yet to lodge a complaint against the alleged question paper leak with cyber police, the sources added.
