Odisha Matric Exams From Feb 19; Here’s The Schedule

Cuttack: The annual matric examination for regular and ex-regular students will begin in Odisha from February 19, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) said on Tuesday.

BSE president Ramashish Hazra informed that the duration of the examination will of two-and-a-half hours for each subject from 10 am to 12.30 pm, except for the Mathematics paper for which the examinees will be given 15 minutes extra. The examination will conclude on March 2, he added.

The schedule of the Matric examination is as follows:

February 19 (Wednesday)- Odia (First Language)
February 22 (Saturday)- English
February 24 (Monday)- Sanskrit/Hindi
February 26 (Wednesday) – Mathematics
February 28 (Friday)- General Science
March 2 (Monday) – Social Studies.

Asked about the leaked question papers during last year’s examination, Hazra said this year the Board will introduce a security code for each centre so that if a question paper is leaked, the place and the examination centre can be automatically identified.

The Board president also said that along with the Matric examination, the annual Odisha State Open School (OSOS) Certificate examination for regular and ex-regular students will also begin from February 19. The examination will be held in the second sitting from 1.30 pm to 4 pm, he added.

The schedule for the OSOS examination is as follows:

February 19: English
February 20: Painting (Theory)
February 22: Odia, Telugu, Urdu, Hindi and Sanskrit
February 23: Painting (Practical)
February 24: Mathematics
February 25: Home Science
February 26: Science
February 27: Indian Culture & Heritage
February 29: Home Science
March 8: Social Science
