Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha on Wednesday said that it will continue with the supplementary matriculation examination to give a chance to dropouts and ex-regular students.
The Class-X supplementary examination will be conducted from July 3 to 8, BSE president Ramasish Hazra told reporters.
The form fill-up for the supplementary examination will start from May 26 and continue to till June 1, 2023. The detailed schedule of the examination will be released later, he said.
The BSE also announced major changes in the conduct of the matriculation examination. While two summative examinations were conducted in class 10 for the past two years, it will be conducted once a year now, the BSE president said.
The BSE has also decided to introduce the half-yearly examination at the school level for which the board will provide question papers.
It may be noted here that the annual High School Certificate (HSC) Summative Assessment-II examination 2023 was conducted from March 10 to 20. As many as 5.32 lakh students appeared in 3,218 examination centers and the overall pass rate was 96.40 per cent.
