Kandhamal: Panchayati Raj Minister Pratap Jena escaped narrowly as his vehicle met with an accident in the district on Sunday.
According to the reports, the mishap took place while the Minister was going in his official car to campaign for party candidates for panchayat polls.
While the car was crossing Bhet Kol ghat, the driver lost control. The car skidded off the road and hit a roadside tree. However, Jena escaped without any major injury in the mishap.
On being informed, the Phulbani Town Police rushed to the spot and made arrangements for safe onward travel of the minister.
