Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) of Odisha has appointed Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management Pramila Mallik as its observer for Khurda and Dhenkanal.
The ruling party issued an official order on appointment of the observers for all districts of the state on Thursday. It has appointed total 25 observers for 30 districts.
Five BJD leaders including Mallik have been appointed observers for 10 districts with each in charge of two districts. Sushant Singh is the new observer for Balangir and Deogarh, Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak for Gajapati and Rayagada, Pranab Prakash Das for Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj and Dibya Shankar Mishra for Koraput and Malkangiri districts.
The order signed by organisational secretary Pranab Prakash Das said in supersession of all previous orders, the leaders have been appointed as district observers on the order of party president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The order will come into immediate effect, it added.
