Bhubaneswar: A man, who went missing from Odisha capital over a week ago, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a paddy field near Olatpur in Cuttack district with his eyes gouged out.
There was a cut on the abdomen and some vital organs were allegedly missing, sources said.
The deceased has been identified as Kelucharan Routray from Unit-1 area of Bhubaneswar.
His family members alleged Routray’s eyes and kidney have been taken out by organ traffickers.
As per reports, Routray complained of sickness and vomited several times on November 10. An ambulance was called to take him to the Capital hospital. However, he went missing after that. Capital hospital also did not have any OPD registrations in his name.
After seeing the body, deceased’s brother Bishnu Prasad Routray claimed that the eyes were gouged out of the body. His kidney was taken out through a cut in the abdomen. His chest also has a cut, he alleged.
Stating that a big organ trafficking racket is operating in the state, the family members expressed suspicion over the involvement of ambulance service personnel in the incident.
