Jajpur: Police on Sunday released a poster of a two-year-old girl, who has been missing from a village in Jajpur district since August 9 last year.
The poster carried the girl’s photo and her home address at Madhusudanpur village in Binjharpur police station area. Police also announced a cash reward of Rs 20,000 in the matter.
Police pasted the posters at various locations and passenger vehicles.
Also on Sunday, apprehending that the girl might have drowned in a pond near her house, police began flushing out the water with the help of Fire Brigade personnel.
The girl had gone missing while playing outside her house in the afternoon of August 9. Later, her family had lodged a missing complaint at Binjharpur police station.
