Bhubaneswar: The cyber crime wing of Commissionerate Police there has arrested two members of the notorious Jamtara Gang from Giridih district in Jharkhand district.
They have been identified as Kamal Jaisawal and Ananda Kumar Bhagat.
“The duo had contacted several people in Odisha on the pretext of updating their KYC and defrauded them by unscrupulously withdrawing money from their bank accounts,” DCP Uma Shankar Das told the media on Monday.
They were arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by an elderly man at the Cyber Desk here recently. Five mobile phones, 3 SIM cards, two bank passbooks, two cheque books, an Aadhaar card, a Pan card and a Platinum debit card were seized from their possession.
