Bhubaneswar: Ollywood’s first Sabyasachi bride, Lipsa Mishra tied the knot with Akash Acharya at a private hotel in Odisha capital on Monday night.
A mechanical engineer, Akash has done MBA in marketing and currently taking care of his family business. “I found my match in Akash and would strive to fulfil my duties as a wife and daughter-in-law,” said Lipsa.
A trend setter in the Odia film and television industry, she looked ravishing in a quintessential red lehenga with chooda, kalire and the heavy jewellery complementing her entire attire while Akash opted for a cream Sabyasachi sherwani and topped it up with a gem studded heavy border dupatta on a silk fabric.
The couple was blessed by actors and filmmakers of the Odia and Hindi film industry, who participated in their ‘big night’.
Lipsa had earlier shared snippets from her bachelorette party and Haldi ceremony on her Insta account. She and Akash also went for an elaborate pre-wedding photo shoot.
A popular film and television actress, Lipsa got her first break as a television actress with “Kichhi Luha Piejae Otha” and her role of “Khushi” catapulted her star status. She carried on her legacy with the longest-running television show in the history of Odisha Television, ‘Toh Aganara Tulasi Mu”. She made her debut in Odia film industry with ‘Maya’. Her other notable films include Pilata Bigidigala (2015), Maya (2015), Samaya Bada Balban (2016), Tokata Fasigala (2018), 4 Idiots (2018), Queen (2019), Adrushyam (2020), Ardhangini (2021) and Prema Na Pagalapana (2020).
Last year, she won the Best Actress Award in the film category of Odisha State Awards for her tremendous acting in ‘Rangeela Bohu’.
The actor has featured in several Hindi and Odia music videos and also owns a production house, Lipsa Mishra Productions, which she started in 2018
