Odisha Receives Over 2 Lakh Doses Of Covishield From SII

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Saturday received 2,27,750 doses of Covishield vaccine under state procurement.

The consignment from Pune-based Serum Institute of India (SII) arrived at Biju Patnaik Internation Airport here in the afternoon.

Odisha had placed an order of 2.2 crore doses of Covishield with SII and 10.34 lakh doses of Covaxin with Bharat Biotech for the 18-44 age group.

Covaxin is being administered only in Bhubaneswar and Covishield in the rest districts of the state.

Odisha has also received two bids through e-global tender for vaccine procurement.
