Bhubaneswar: After an upward trend in COVID cases for two consecutive days, the daily count saw a marginal drop on Friday with 214 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 286 on Thursday and 260 on Wednesday.
According to the I & PR department, 129 new cases are from quarantine and 85 local contacts. Among them, 30 are in the age group of 0-18 years.

With these cases being detected from 13,634 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 1.56%. Odisha now has 1,664 active cases.
