Bhubaneswar: Odisha has confirmed two more deaths due to COVID, taking the toll in the fourth wave to 18 on Thursday.
The Health and Family Welfare Department identified the deceased as a 40-years-old woman of Bhubaneswar, who was also suffering from status epilepticus, and a 55-years-old male of Cuttack, who was also suffering from hypertension and cerebrovascular accident.
It is pertinent to mention here that the daily COVID caseload in Odisha dropped again on Thursday as 870 people tested positive for the virus. Among them, 157 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Sundargarh reported the highest 220 cases followed by Khurda at 140.
