Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw another 4241 people testing positive for COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which pushed the affected tally to 167161.
It is for the second consecutive day that the state has reported over 4000 new cases.
According to I & PR department, 2502 of the new cases have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1739 are local contacts.
Khurda reported the highest 647 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (389) and Puri (291).

The remaining 330 are from the state pool.
Notably, 51,824 samples being tested in the last 24 hours. Odisha has a positivity rape of 6.3 with 26,19,601 tests have been conducted so far.
The active case count now stands at 36,580, while 1,29,859 patients have recovered from the infection so far.
