Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Wednesday signed a trade agreement with Vinh Long province of Vietnam.
The agreement was signed between the Vietnamese delegates and officials of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) department in presence of Saswat Mishra, principal secretary of the department in Bhubaneswar.
Mishra said the agreement has been signed between Odisha and Vinh Long for trade in 6 sectors of agriculture, industry, tourism, MSME, metals and minerals.
Stating that the government’s export policy was suitable for Middle-East countries, he said Odisha was ready for export of its goods to Vietnam province.
Earlier, a 22-member delegation of Vinh Long held a discussion on investment in industries in Odisha with senior officers including chief secretary Pradip Kumar Jena and Hemant Sharma, principal secretary, Industries department. Minister of Industries, MSME and Energy Pratap Keshari Dev was also present.
