Sonepur: The Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch seized 693 kg ganja near Sagaja under Tarabha police limits in the district and arrested two persons on Sunday.
The accused have been identified as Purnananda Mandili of Mundaghat village and Biswanath Karna of Mahatpur village.
Acting on tip-off, a team of STF, Bhubaneswar with the help of Sonepur police conducted the raid and and seized the contraband. A case has been registered at Tarabha police station.
The STF, in a special drive against narcotic drugs, has seized more than 35 kg of brown sugar and more than 7,438 kg of ganja. The agency has also arrested more than 100 drug dealers and peddlers.
