Balasore: The tuition teacher who had slit the throat of a Plus II girl student at Dehruda village of Bhogarai block was arrested from West Bengal on Saturday.
Informing mediapersons here, SDPO, Jaleswar, Ankinta Kumbhar said the accused, Biswajit Nath was arrested from Kolkata in the morning. He will be brought to Balasore for interrogation.
The incident had taken place at 9 pm on Friday, when Nath, in a fit of rage, slit open the throat of his student. He fled the village soon after the incident.
The condition of the girl undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital is stated to be stable.
