Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has announced appointment of 7,000 teachers on December 16.
Informing this on Monday, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said the government had set a target to fill up 11,000 posts of teachers in the first phase. Only 7,000 applicants have cleared the exam conducted by School and Mass Education Department, said the Minister and added that 4,000 candidates were found ineligible for the reserved posts.
However, a decision on the 4,000 candidates will be taken soon, he added.
It may be mentioned that the government is recruiting teachers with an aim to provide quality education in the schools that have been transformed under the 5T initiative.
