Bhubaneswar: Amid gradual advancement of southwest monsoon, most parts of Odisha are likely to experience hot and humid weather conditions for the next three days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Wednesday.
At the same time, several places in the state are likely to experience light to moderate rain and thundershowers till monsoon sets in over more areas.
In its midday bulletin, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said thunderstorms with lightning accompanied by gusty surface wind speeds reaching 30-40 kmph may occur at some places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati in next 24 hours. The weather agency also issued yellow warning for these areas.
Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in one or two places over the districts of Koraput and Malkangiri.
However, heatwave condition may prevail at one or two places over Balangir, Nuapada, Boudh, Sonepur, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Balasore, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj districts during the period.
Hot and humid weather will prevail at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.

Hot and humid weather conditions are likely to prevail at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
June 15
Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places in south Odisha and one or two places over the districts of north Odisha.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorms with lightning accompanied by gusty surface wind speeds reaching 30-40 kmph are likely at one or two places in Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
Hot and humid weather conditions are likely to prevail at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
June 16
Lignt to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely at many places in south Odisha and one or two places over the districts of north Odisha.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorms with lightning accompanied by with gusty surface wind speeds reaching 30-40 kmph are likely at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh.
