Bhubaneswar: Odisha will showcase the pristine architectural marvel of Bhubaneswar’s Lingaraj Temple at the Republic Day parade in New Delhi.
The Defence Ministry, in a letter to the Odisha chief secretary, has also given its approval for the same.
The Odisha government had sent the designs for 15 tableaus to the Centre. Of these, the ministry chose the Lingaraj temple tableau designed by eminent sculptor Gajendra Sahu.
The tableau will have a replica of the Lingaraj Temple and the Rukuna chariot of Lord Shiva. Besides, 28 danseuses will perform an Odissi dance atop the tableau.
Besides Odisha, 15 states will showcase their tableaus at the Republic Day parade.
