Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government on Wednesday decided to vaccinate medical shop employees and staff on priority. Additional Chief Secretary, Health, PK Mohapatra has written to collectors and municipal commissioners in this regard.
“Staff and employees working in medicine shops are providing services uninterruptedly to the general public during the pandemic and also during lockdown and shutdown in the State,” read the letter.
“In view of their nature of work, you are requested to vaccinate the staff and employees on priority subject to availability of vaccines. The employees aged 45 years and above shall be vaccinated with Govt. of India supply vaccine and employees aged 18 to 44 years shall be vaccinated with State procured vaccines,” added the letter.
