Bhubaneswar: The Khurda Industrial Estate Police Outpost in Odisha has been upgraded as the Industrial Estate Police Station. A total of 23 additional posts have also been created for the new police station.
A proposal in this regard has been approved by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik who had earlier ordered strengthening of the security system in the Khurda Industrial Area.
The 23 new posts created in this police station include one Inspector, 6 Sub-Inspectors (SI), 3 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI), 2 habildars, and 11 constables.
Similarly, the state government has created two traffic police stations in Keonjhar and Badbil for which 24 new posts have been sanctioned, a release from Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said on Tuesday.
The proposal in this regard has been approved by Chief Minister. The move aims to improve the traffic system in these two cities.
Among the 24 posts created for these two traffic police stations are 2 Inspectors, 6 Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and 16 constables.
