Berhampur: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids on properties linked to Kanhu Charan Patnaik, Forest Ranger of Digapahandi in Ganjam district, for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The raid are being conducted at 3 places, including his residence in Berhampur, after Rs 1.58 lakh unaccounted cash was recovered from the Ranger’s possession while he was returning home from his office late last night.
The total valuation of the disproportionate assets of the official is yet to be calculated as raids are still underway, a Vigilance official said.
