Bhadrak: A young man of North 24 Parganas in West Bengal received the biggest shock of his life when he learnt that the woman he had loved and wished to marry was in fact a man.
The matter took place in Kasia village under Basudevpur block in Bhadrak district.
According to reports, Alok Kumar Mistri of West Bengal and Meghna of Ramnagar village under Jambu Marine police limits in Kendrapada became friends on Facebook. After about two few weeks, the two started sharing photos and later they decided to get married.
To take their relationship ahead, Alok took Meghna to Basudevpur in Bhadrak where his uncle stays. Alok and Meghna were welcomed by Alok’s family with open arms. When everyone was gathering and fest thrown by Alok’s uncle, one Sujata Mandal from Binobabhabenagar, who was also invited as a guest , recognised Meghana alias Meghanada.
Sujata informed Alok and his uncle that Megha was infact a man and her nephew. Shocked, Alok’s parents invited Meghanada’s parents to their house. Meanwhile, Alok’s family members decided to teach Meghana a lesson. The next day, the villagers stripped him naked. The villagers also cut Meghanada’s hair and made him wear men’s clothes.
This is not the first first time and Meghanada had earlier cheated many youths in a similar manner but continues to roam free. Police rescued Meghanada and handed him over to his family.
