Bhubaneswar: The second COVID-19 patient, undergoing treatment in the isolation ward of AIIM-Bhubaneswar, has full recovered and tested negative for coronavirus, the Health and Family Welfare Department said in a tweet on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old patient, who had tested positive for the virus on March 19 after returning to Bhubaneswar from UK the previous day, is being discharged from AIIMS Bhubaneswar, it added.
With this, the number of active COVID-19 cases in Odisha has come down to three.
The department further said that the condition of the first COVID-19 positive person, undergoing treatment at Capital Hospital, is stable. “No need to panic about his health. As per protocol, discharge of a COVID positive case is considered only after two consecutive samples taken during 24 hours are negative,” it added.
