Bargarh: With COVID-19 positive cases making a steady climb in the district, the collector has announced three-day shutdown from August 1.
In an official order, district collector Jyotiranjan Pradhan said since there is urgent need for preventive and containment measures to arrest the spread of COVID-19, shut-down will be in force from August 1 to 3.
During the shut-down period, intra-district movement of private and public vehicles will not be allowed while all private and government offices, shops and business establishments will remain closed, the order stated. The movement of people and gathering have also been restricted.
However, the essential services and activities will be allowed.
The collector warned of stringent action in case of anybody disobeying the order.
