Bhubaneswar: The Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) Rourkela has invited applications from eligible candidates for the entrance examination for admission into PhD Programs under the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture, Computer Application & Sciences, Management and Pharmacy for the 2021-22 Session.
“Eligible candidates can register themselves for the entrance exam on the website at www.bput.ac.in with Crossed Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque of Rs 1000 in favour of BPUT, payable at Rourkela addressed to the Director Examinations, Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha, Chhend, Rourkela- 15, Sundergarh should reach on or before November 06,” reads the notification.
All candidates seeking admission into the PhD programme should possess the requisite qualification.
For Faculty of Engineering, the candidate should possess a Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent in Civil, CSE/ IT, ECE/ETC/E&I, EE / EEE, Mechanical from the BPUT or any other university recognised by it, with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or 60 per cent aggregate marks at the Master’s degree.
For the Faculty of Architecture, the candidate should possess a Master’s Degree in Architecture I allied specialisation or equivalent recognised by the university, with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or 60 per cent aggregate marks at the Master’s Degree in the respective discipline.
For Faculty of Computer Application & Sciences, the candidate should possess a Master’s Degree / MPhil Degree in Computer Application/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Polymer Science & Technology, recognised by the university with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10, or 60 per cent aggregate marks at the Master’s degree.
For the Faculty of Management, the candidate should possess an MBA/equivalent degree from a recognised university with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10, or 60 per cent aggregate marks at the Master’s degree.
For Pharmacy Faculty, the candidate should possess an MPharm/ equivalent degree from a recognised university with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10, or 60 per cent aggregate marks at the Master’s degree.
The tentative date of PhD Entrance Test is November 28.
