Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha touched 75,537 on Saturday with 2,819 fresh cases reported from 29 districts overnight.
The new cases included 1,691 detections in quarantine centres and 1,128 local contacts, the I&PR Department informed.
Khurda led the tally with 443 cases, followed by Cuttack (257), Mayurbhanj (219), Ganjam (192), Rayagada (147), Sambalpur (145), Bargarh (136), Jajpur (120), Puri (109), Balasore (105), Dhenkanal (100), Malkangiri (83), Koraput (81), Bhadrak (77), Nayagarh (64), Jharsuguda (63), Kendrapada (62), Gajapati (62), Sundargarh (57), Balangir (56), Kalahandi (55), Jagatsinghpur (48), Kandhamal (44), Nabarangpur (43), Angul (23), Sonepur (14), Keonjhar (7), Boudh (6) and Nuapada (1).
Moreover, 61,379 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Odisha in the last 24 hours, the State Health & Family Welfare Department informed.
These included 7,054 RT-PCR, 54,243 Antigen and 82 TruNat tests.
With 399 deaths and 50,503 recoveries, Odisha now has 24,582 active cases.
