Bhubaneswar: Odisha Body Building Association (OBBA) general secretary Prasanna Kumar Mahasuar assumed another responsibility after being elected general secretary of the Eastern India Body Builders Association (EIBBA) for a four-year term.
All 14 office-bearers of EIBBA were elected unanimously during the association’s annual general meeting (AGM) held recently at a Bhubaneswar hotel.
Representatives from Odisha, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Manipur, Meghalaya and Mizoram attended the AGM.
Four officials from Odisha secured posts in the executive committee.
Besides the officer-bearers, five officials were nominated as patron and advisers — patron Bikash Chandra Pattnaik (Odisha), chief adviser Lohit Ranjan Das (Meghalaya) and advisers Sumitra Tripathy (Odisha), Nirmal Saha (West Bengal), Irom Umakanta Singh (Manipur).
