Berhampur: Berhampur MLA Bikram Panda on Tuesday tested positive for COVID-19. He is the third legislator of the state to have been infected by the coronavirus on the day.
After Panda developed mild symptoms of COVID-19, he went for test and was confirmed positive, the MLA said in a tweet. He has advised those who had come in contact with him recently to go for isolation.
Earlier on the day, Bari MLA Sunanda Das and Bhubaneswar North MLA Susant Kumar Rout had tested positive for COVID-19.
On Monday, Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo and Chandbali MLA Byomkesh Ray had informed about having tested positive for the disease.
