New Delhi: Ride-hailing service Ola is looking to get into manufacturing of electric two-wheelers in India.
The company is reportedly in discussion with four states to acquire 100 acres of land. It is expected to set up the world’s largest e-scooter factory with a production capacity of 2 million units.
However, the reports have not been confirmed by Ola yet.
Currently, Honda’s Gujarat factory is the largest scooter-making unit, producing 1.2 million vehicles per year.
Earlier, Ola had acquired Dutch electric scooter maker Etergo which has an electric scooter that travels 241 km on a single charge.
