Aska: An old man died at a polling booth in Aska, Ganjam district, on Thursday morning.
Reports said that Natabara Behera (95) of Kansamari village had come to booth no-183 at Sanakhemundi to cast his vote. While standing in the queue, he lost consciousness and fell down. Volunteers at the booth rushed him to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Sources said excess heat could be the cause of the old man’s death.
