Bhubaneswar: Ollywood star Sabyasachi Mishra is again in the news for helping a poor girl to undergo treatment.
According to reports, one Kuni Panda of Balipada village in Puri Sadar block was suffering from bone tumor in her hand. The 24-year-old, who lost her father in childhood, had posted a video of her plight on social media. After watching the video, Sabyasachi extended an helping hand to help Kuni.
With the financial aid from the actor, Kuni underwent a successful surgery on her hand and has now returned to her village.
When Sabyasachi met Kuni on Friday, the latter tied a rakhi on the actor’s hand.
According to sources, Kuni had been suffering from the bone tumor in her hand for a long time.
Kuni and her mother couldn’t afford the money for her proper treatment. There was a time, when Kuni even lost hope of getting treatment.
She then took the help of social media and asked for financial help. Many people tagged Sabyasachi in the video, appealing to help Kuni.
Sabysachi contacted her through a video call and promised her help.
Later, he met Kuni and took all the responsibility of her treatment.
Kuni had treatment in AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
“Sabyasachi came to help me like a messiah. I will never forget him and help in my life. He is my brother now,” said Kuni.
Sabyasachi has also shared the photos of Kuni and expressed his happiness on social media.
“Kuni can smile now after the successful operation. It was possible for the prayer of Odisha people for Kuni,” said Sabyasachi.
