Puri: The Smart Queue Management system was inaugurated at RTO, Puri, on the eve of Rath Yatra.
The system, which adds another feather to public services within the purview of 5T, was launched by Odisha’s Commerce & Transport and Water Resources Minister Tukuni Sahu in the presence of Amitabh Thakur, Transport Commissioner, Odisha.
The system ensures better customer engagement and less waiting time, ensuring higher customer satisfaction.
The system further simplifies and fast-tracks the process of issuing licence, registration of vehicles, tax payment etc.
When an applicant comes to RTO, a token will be generated.
The citizens need not stand in a queue and can sit comfortably inside waiting for their turn.
There will be display systems at all counters flashing the token numbers.
The applicants will know the approximate waiting time for getting the service through predictive forecasting by the system.
Citizens will receive notification for their service from time to time. They can make use of any of the windows to get their work done smoothly.
