London: The much-awaited OnePlus 6 has been revealed. It has an all-glass design this time and the company assures that it is just as tough as the previous versions. The 6.28-inch 19:9 full-HD display has a notch like the iPhone X.
According to ‘The Verge’, the OnePlus 6 is a little smaller than the 6-inch Google Pixel 2 XL despite having a bigger screen. This is due to the notch design and smaller bezels.
As previously speculated, it is powered by the Snapdragon 845 which goes in line with the ‘need for speed’ campaign. RAM options are 6GB and 8GB. The 6GB variant comes with 64GB storage. The 8GB RAM comes with the choice of 128GB and 256GB memory options.
Coming to the highlight of the phone, the dual rear cameras are 20MP and 16MP and are vertically aligned. The front is a 16MP unit. OnePlus claims a much-improved photography level especially in low light. OnePlus has been running a ‘Blind Test’ campaign where they have asked users to guess which camera was used to take the same photo. The photographs are shot using rival flagship phones such as the Samsung S9, Google Pixel 2, Apple iPhone X and the OnePlus 6.
The 3.5mm jack is retained and the company doesn’t plan on letting go of it anytime soon. The battery is 3300mAh and Dash Charge compatible. There’s face unlock and fingerprint sensor. Android 8.1 Oreo with custom OxygenOS UI is pre-loaded and Android P Beta will be also available immediately.
The OnePlus 6 prices in India are as follows:
The phone is Amazon-exclusive and there are many launch offers such as free insurance, extended warranty, Rs 1000 cashback through Amazon Pay, etc.
