Bhubaneswar: The advisory level for Odisha and West Bengal will be upgraded to orange alerts with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting isolated to scattered rain, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds reaching up to 30-40 kmph from April 8 to 12.
“Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand will retain the yellow watches,” The Weather Channel reported.
The report attributed the conditions to the combination of a trough in westerlies and a cyclonic circulation located over Jharkhand and adjoining North Chhattisgarh—both of which will be supported by the incursion of moisture from the Bay of Bengal.
