Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre in the city issued orange warning for heavy rainfall in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
The Centre said there will be intermittent heavy rainfall in the twin cities for six hours till 4 pm.
The heavy showers may cause temporary traffic congestion, poor visibility and waterlogging in low-lying areas and underpass roads. Accordingly, the civic body authorities are advised to take steps to drain out the rainwater and people are advised to avoid movement as far as possible.
The rainfall in the capital city began around 11 pm on Saturday and gradually increased from 4 am. Since then, there has been intermittent rain in the city.
