Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Monday allowed Balu Bazaar Puja Committee in Cuttack city to hold the Durga Puja.
The court, however, directed the committee to hold the festival with a minimum number of people and strict adherence to the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Centre and state government.
The committee filed a PIL in the HC on August 25, appealing it to direct the state government to allow the festival with an assurance that it will be celebrated with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.
