Cuttack: The Orissa High Court has directed police to arrest gangster Tito for violating the conditions for bail granted to him.

A High Court bench comprising Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo issued the order on Monday while hearing a review petition of gangster Usman Ali alias Tito of Kendrapada. Tito had filed the review petition seeking changes in the conditions set for the bail granted to him earlier.

While hearing the case, the High Court beach was informed by police about violation of the conditions of the bail by the gangster. Earlier, the court had granted bail to Tito on the condition that he has to physically appear before the investigating officer of Kendrapada Town police station every week.

But the dreaded gangster failed to appear before the police station several times. The investigating officer has informed the high court in this regard.

After the hearing, the high court rejected his bail applications filed for two other cases and directed the police to arrest Tito.

It may be noted that Tito, who was wanted in several criminal cases, was arrested after he was injured in an encounter with police near Chandikhole in Jajpur district on June 30, 2018. Later, more than 20 members of his gang were also arrested.
